Allison Egert
Dr. Egert’s passion and life’s work has been centered around educating and providing services to children with varying abilities and disabilities. Dr. Egert is trained as a speech-language pathologist, a learning specialist, and an educational evaluator with a doctorate in special education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her work as a school administrator included 14 years as Director of Special Learning Services at The Elisabeth Morrow School and 8 years as Director of Student Support Services at The Moriah School. Dr. Egert has been employed in her career as a resource teacher and a speech-language pathologist. Her strengths and experience include strong partnerships with school personnel, parents, and students. Being dual certified as a speech-language pathologist and a learning specialist allow Dr. Egert to conduct comprehensive evaluations that get to the root of a child’s language and academic functioning. Dr.Egert shares ownership of Northern Valley Speech Language Learning Center in Cresskill, New Jersey where she conducts evaluations, remediates students with language- based learning disabilities, consults, and does advocacy work for students as part of an independent child study team. Dr. Egert has lived and worked in Bergen County for over thirty-five years.
