Ilana Kanovsky

Ilana Kanovsky, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience, is the founder of Team 4 Kids NJ, a pediatric therapy practice in Cresskill, NJ, and the creator of Ready to Pedal, a specialized bike-riding lesson program that blends developmental milestones with the joy of cycling.

Ilana specializes in working with children who face challenges in sensory processing, executive functioning, and social-emotional development. Her approach is deeply individualized, drawing on techniques that integrate motor planning, sensory integration, and emotional regulation — all while keeping things playful, purposeful, and parent-inclusive. Ilana is a leader in training occupational therapists to share her vision and encourages them to develop their skills to meet their professional goals and those of the children they work with.

Ilana, who received her Bachelor’s Degree from Queens College and her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University, holds advanced certifications in sensory integration, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning. She strongly believes in collaboration and empowering families and schools with the tools they need to support children in a holistic and authentic environment. Ilana aims to help children thrive socially, emotionally, and developmentally while building confidence and independence and finding joy in their achievements.
