Pamela Bern
Pam, a speech-language pathologist for more than 25 years, specializes in the
diagnosis and treatment of children with receptive and expressive language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, and childhood apraxia (CAS). As part of a comprehensive therapy approach, Pam addresses behavior, social and emotional concerns affecting children’s communication. Pam’s experience in early intervention, preschools, and elementary through middle schools enables her to understand how the authentic environment affects communication needs and expectations. Pam enjoys relationships with teachers, school administrators, and other school leaders who value her interdisciplinary approach and therapeutic skills. Pam is trained and certified in various therapy approaches including PROMPT technique Level 1, Talk Tools training for sensory-based oral motor placement techniques, and the Kaufman program for treating children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
Pam is a graduate of Florida State University (Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences) and Montclair State University (Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders). Pam, state licensed in New Jersey and New York, is certified by ASHA and has a Speech and Language Specialist certificate from New Jersey and New York’s Departments of Education.
